Mill Gate staff aim for gold service
Twenty staff at Bury’s Mill Gate shopping centre are now better equipped to provide excellent customer service to its shoppers.
Mill Gate colleagues have achieved a Level 2 award for customer service in retail, which boosts skills including effective communication and creating great first impressions. Developed for the volunteers and staff of the Vancouver Winter Olympics, the WorldHost Customer Service training has now been tailored for customer-facing security and cleaning teams in retail.
The course focuses on coaching teaching staff to develop listening skills, to better communicate with customers and to consider their needs. Mill Gate is now in the process of applying for the WorldHost Business Recognition award.
Mill Gate manager Marie Gribben said: “Providing excellent customer service is extremely important to us at Mill Gate. The WorldHost training has given our team the skills to provide our shoppers with the best experience possible.”
